Welcome.

I am a mixed woman of African American, Native American, Irish, and Dutch descent. A Manhattan mural of my own, I am. A swirl of colors—spiraling Black and White and Indigenous gold.

I paint pictures with words, always penning poems, prose, and other pieces.

Love the craft so much, I chased it down through study in college. Four years of late nights and early rising, I now hold a Bachelor of Arts in English with Creative Writing, along with a minor in Bible and Christian Ministry.

I am founder of The Fallow House, an online creative community that provides seasonal prompt journeys for creatives through seasons of pause and productivity.

In all I do, I just want to tell stories that rise up and out of the living and loving.

To those new and those who have been following my blog, my emails, my newsletters over the years—welcome to this new way of releasing my words. Going forward, my emails and my blog posts will come through Substack. I will be sharing a mix of musings on creativity, art, culture, and faith. I will also be using this space as a sort of digitized diary, sharing audio and video messages, candid photographs, poems, and anything else I find myself creating.

My hope here is to cultivate creativity and community—I hope you’ll subscribe and join in on it all.
